The Story Behind Dr. Molly Speaks

I grew up in Tomball, Texas, where animals were always part of life because of my parents’ passion

I joined FFA and instantly fell in love with the people, the purpose, and the opportunities

I attended Texas A&M University for both my undergraduate studies and veterinary school

I was admitted to veterinary school early on my prerequisites-before finishing the traditional bachelor’s degree route

Early on, I learned that passion and hard work can open doors - sometimes in ways you never expected. That mindset has guided every step.

Just a year and a half out of veterinary school, I purchased my first practice - the very same private practice my family trusted for decades while I was growing up.
Since then, I’ve had the honor of purchasing two more hospitals from incredible, accomplished female veterinarians. Their legacy and leadership live on in the teams and communities we serve.
My mission is to help preserve private practice and community-centered veterinary medicine.
I believe veterinary medicine should never lose its human, local, individual feel by becoming overly mechanized.

I wanted to do more than just be a doctor and a practice owner. I want to inspire others to reach for their goals.
With the creation of Tails From the Clinic podcast, we strive to make veterinary medicine feel more approachable. We are translating topics, listening to various perspectives, and connecting to those who haven’t in their past.
I found an outside passion for day trading. I have returned to my passion in education for finance, day trading, and the various forms of investing. It has strengthened my discipline, control. patience, and risk management. These skills have grown my ability to lead my various teams, manage the businesses, and navigate difficult situations.
I now share lessons from medicine, surgery, ownership, mentorship, leadership, motherhood, and entrepreneurship with anyone who feels lost in a way that is practical, honest, and deeply personal.

Integrative medicine is a powerful tool

It complements traditional care and helps me support the whole picture of every patient.

I’m a mom of 4 amazing children.

Our home is full with 5 dogs, 6 horses, ducks, chickens, cats, and more.

My parents own a dog and horse boarding facility that encompasses our family business and taught me entrepreneurship.

My parents were previously police officers and taught me the meaning of service, discipline, and heart.

I have a deep passion for education

I want the next generation of veterinarians to retain their individuality.

I want young vets to know that they can own practices if they want to - and that ownership does not have to feel scary or lonely.

I want younger children to know that they can fight for their DVM if it’s truly their dream.

Fulfillment matters. I believe future veterinarians should build careers that reflect who they are and give them pride.
